Virat Kohli On Leaving The Australia Tour: ‘Becoming Father Remains The Greatest Moment Of My Life, But The Connection With The Team Doesn’t Go Away'
Indian Skipper Virat Kohli who recently became a father to a baby girl has resumed his captaincy duties and is now gearing up for the fourth test match against England. Earlier in January, when the Indian team was on a tour to Australia, Kohli came back to India after the first Test for his paternity leave as his actor-wife Anushka Sharma was at her final trimester. As some questioned Kohli’s life choices and called him unprofessional and some hailed him for his decision, Virat was asked about his feeling and emotions when he had to leave Australia during the important test match in a recent chat in a press conference.

To which, Virat replied that the two occasions cannot be compared. “To me, to become a father has been and will remain the greatest moment of my life. That is something that has to be experienced to understand what I am saying. The connection with the team doesn’t go away in any situation, especially when you have given everything for the team, especially for the Test team for the last six years daily. Being motivated to take Test cricket on top, take Indian cricket on top and the whole group has put in so much effort,” he told to TimesNow.

On January 11, Virat Kohli announced that they are blessed with a baby girl and is overwhelmed with her arrival. And on January 19, India won against Australia which was a historic moment for the country.
